February Update: Visualizing Your Progress
We’re keeping our monthly update commitment going strong! This February, we’re moving beyond just tracking scores and moving into tracking your achievements. We've overhauled the Stats page and added a highly requested feature for plate hunters.
New Feature: Player Stats & Plates Progress
If you're chasing those elusive Plates like 「極」, 「將」, or 「舞」, this update is for you.
Revamped Stats Page
We’ve redesigned the Statistics page to give you a clearer bird's-eye view of your achievement distribution. You can now see a full breakdown of your grades (from D up to SSS+) for any specific version or difficulty.

Track Your Plate Progress
Click the new "View Plates Progress" button to see exactly how close you are to your next plate.
- Visual Progress: See your completion count for categories like "All FC or above" (極).
- Missing Chart Finder: tomomai will now list the specific songs you are missing to complete a plate requirement. No more manual checking against a spreadsheet!

New Feature: Dedicated Changelogs
You're looking at it! We've introduced a proper Changelog & News section at /db/posts. From now on, all major updates, version notes, and community announcements will be archived here so you can keep track of what's changing in tomomai.
New Feature: Album Management
Last month we introduced Album Storage, and this month we’re giving you more control over it. You can now delete specific images from your tomomai album. This makes it easier to stay within the 25MB limit by clearing out accidental shots or blurry photos while keeping your best memories.

Privacy & Terms of Service
As tomomai grows, we want to ensure transparency regarding your data. Starting today, all users will be asked to agree to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
The TL;DR (Not Legal Advice):
- You own your data; it is never sold to third parties.
- Data is encrypted and stored securely on servers in Japan.
- Processing is done in accordance with Hong Kong SAR laws.
- tomomai is Open Source (AGPL-3.0) and independent from SEGA.
Backend: Data Accuracy Refactor
We’ve completely rebuilt our song data pipeline to be more accurate.
- Better Version Handling: Songs like Supersonic Generation are now correctly tagged for their specific release versions in both Japan and International regions.
- Duplicate Handling: We can now properly distinguish between different songs that have identical names (e.g., Link), extended support across the code base will be improved sequentially, in the future.
- Precise Constants: We've updated internal levels for 71 charts (including Dazzle hop and ニルヴの心臓 Master charts) using a new double-fallback system for maximum accuracy.
